Incorporating the State's biggest hot-dip galvanising zinc bath, FeroGalv is perhaps Fero Group' showpiece tangible evidence of embracing the latest in international technology and equipment.

In essence, the optional value-added service of hot-dip galvanising gives clients the unique opportunity of a complete anti-corrosion service in the one convenient location.

The European designed kettle –and heating system – is an impressive 13 metres in length 2.6 metres deep and 1.6 metres wide. It also has the capacity to hot-dip galvanise more than 2000 tonnes of steel a month.

This is backed up by lifting and handling equipment including a 25 tonne forklift – again the biggest in this application in the state - which can load out full cradles of steel, numerous gantry cranes, and a double beam galvanising crane providing ten tonne lifting capacity over the galvanising kettle. The company also has a fleet of semi-trailers with the latest in technology offering a pick-up and delivery service throughout the metropolitan area. However, individual arrangements can be made for transportation of goods throughout the State and even nationally.

It is this encompassing of world best practice equipment and technology that ensures FeroGalv is sought to provide services to a wide range of infrastructure projects from those in the light commercial industry through to large scale minerals, oil and gas mining projects.

FeroGalv has provided an integral link to the success of a wide range of projects from the Darwin LNG line (which comprised treating 6, 000 tonnes of steel) to the Woodside LNG IV Expansion, Worsley Upgrade and Alcoa McCoy Workshops to the Swan Bell Tower and the Hong Kong Power Station.
